Web Page Design
This semester long course builds upon the foundation from Intro to Digital Studio to go in depth on using HTML and CSS to create dynamic, compelling websites. Students are able to work at their own pace. They learn the full design process from initial planning, style tiles, and mockups to finished websites. The course also covers learn how to work with content management systems (CMS), about differing design philosophies, basic PHP, and how to use web hosting. An emphasis is placed on making websites responsive and functional across a variety of devices and screen sizes while still looking good.
Students must pass Web Page Design I with a B- or higher in order to take Web Page Design II.
Students that pass Web Page Design II with a B- or higher may continue on in Advanced Digital Arts.
